Une veuve en or (1969)

Une veuve en or (A Golden Widow)is a 1969 film by Michel Audiard with Michele Mercier and Claude Rich in the title roles.

"Delphine Berger's uncle died and left her a great fortune, the problem is, she can enter upon an inheritance only after the death of her husband... she decides to kill him."

A Golden Widow, a classical black comedy  wasn't commercially successful, but at least you can enjoy Michele's beauty, outfits by Paco Rabanne and gorgeous settings (the movie was shot at Vaux-le-Vicomte).

Behind the scenes of La seconde vérité (1966)

La seconde vérité (The Second Twin / L'amante infedele / Die zweite Wahrheit) is a 1966 film by Christian-Jaque.
Pierre Montaud, famous lawyer, falls in love with a young student Nathalie. But he is married and she can't bear to see him in secret and decides to break up. Soon, her previous boyfriend is found dead.
I just want to add, that it is one of my favorite movies, which elicit Michele's dramatic potential. Besides, I like her very french style, not sure, but think it's Chanel.

23rd Cannes Film Festival

The 1970 Cannes Film Festival was the 23rd competition. That year, Robert Favre LeBret, the founder of the festival, decided not to include any films from Russia and Japan (their flags were missing on the Croisette). He was tired of the "Slavic spectacles and Japanese samurai flicks." The Russians took back their juror Sergei Obraztsov (head of Moscow puppet theater) and left the jury panel with only eight members.(wiki)
